Pin Hole Tester (Leakage Tester) This is an instrument to test various forms of packages for leakage / pin hole. Principle : The package (pouch, blister, bottle, etc) is dipped in a suitable size container filled with water. The vacuum is applied to the container. If there is any form of leakage / pin hole in the package, air bubbles will rush out of the package. Significance : Pin Holes are one of the largest culprits of product rejections in Food & Pharmaceutical Products. Pin Holes are not visible to the naked eye but often permit moisture and odor to pass through into the package and spoil the product.
