Crush Resistance Tester

Extremely useful for Corrugated Carton / Tray Manufacturers and also for Heavy End-Users of the same.

Suitable for testing :   1. Ring Crush Test ( RCT ) for paper. This is an important quality criterion and must be kept in mind while selecting paper. Similar BF papers may have different RCT values. The higher the Ring Crush values the better.   2. Flat Crush Test ( FCT ) for corrugated board. This test gives an idea of board toughness and is a good index of quality of fluting media. Low value indicates soft and lumpy boxes, while higher value indicates rigid and strong boxes with low buckling property.   3. Edge Crush Test ( ECT ) for corrugated board. The liner and the media combination (3/5/7 Ply, etc) can be tested for Edge Crush test value. Higher Edge Crush Test valve will ultimately give a finished box of high compressive strength.

4. Pin Adhesion Test ( PAT ) for corrugated board.

This test evaluates the glue bond between a liner and fluting. A poor bond will result in carton failures like - Delamination (Ply Separation).
